Emeryville

To Drink,
It’s obligatory to start with alcoholism because, hey, we live in a world drinking can either be a curse or a blessing. In this case here are some blessings in Emeryville:

Propanda
Can someone tell me why the spelling case on this spot looks like a middle school girl wrote in her slam book? Nevertheless, this needs a little bit more love. Propaganda... we are going to neighbors really soon. Emeryville is a tough crowd because there is a really fine line between west-Oakland-still-going-through-some-improvements and hey-there-this-is-emeryville-im-getting-gentrified-where-is-the-closest-beer-garden?

I came here for lunch on a weekday. Arugula salad-- amazing. It was under 10. My friend and i shared the sweet potato fries. I had 2 cups of coffee since it was in the morning... but hey.. I should stop making excuses why I am not drinking  cocktails in the daytime?
They also server bicycle coffee, draft beer, cocktails, wine. You sold me at coffee and wine. It is right at a corner close to a couple of condos and storage unit. Odd place.. but there is a really hip industrial feel to the exterior. There are outdoor seats as well as tables inside for larger crowds.

I am unsure if there are TV's but it would be a great spot to watch a couple of playoffs. Staff are attentive and friendly. I would come back and try other drinks.

Prizefighter
Great things starts with P. J A little closer by the bay, but a great example of cool bar. Furry friends, great selections of drinks. Did I mention it's close to Rotten City Pizza. Pies that remind me of New York. Beer and pizza is a match made in heaven.

Indoor seats, outdoor seats, furry friends allowed. What can be better. Prices are at the norm for 7-8 Beers and $10 well drinks, but who drink cocktails nowadays? It’s either beer, wine, or sparkling water.

Shuffleboard? What? Is this California?

To Eat
Arizmendi, a sister of Cheese Board, and who doesn’t live cheese and bread? You? Are you the devil? The have one kind of pie a day, my favorite has to me the roma tomatoes. The tomatoes are juicy sweet. Cheese what can say? This isn’t Tuscany, but it’s pretty damn close.

Best Coast Burritos
You would think that since we are in California; Emeryville would have California burritos with loaded fries. No… we don’t. You may ask why? I have absolutely no clue. But Now we do!! BCB add canjun flavored fries in your burrito.

I’d go with the classic California Burrito with veggies + extra rice. I love my rice! They have queso fries, fish tacos, a variety of items that will suit your diet or taste buds. My rule of having BCB is for me to walk there… or else. I cannot have it!

To do:
Target and Ikea
Probably my favorite stores. Target, I can mindlessly shop in Target for a good hour. I cannot do that at any other mall. They have everything! Grocery, household items, and makeup. One stop shop. Plus it has protein pancake mix. Kodiak cakes cannot be found anywhere else. I have been really into decorating and pintrest-ing… oh no! Domestically is calling me! Ikea gives me the most inspiration, they are so creative.

Get Coffee Recreationally at Highwire Roasters
I’ve been such a coffee snob since I’ve discovered grinding my own beans and brewing my own pour over. It changes my life. HR will be guilty pleasure when I am chilling or hanging out with my friends.

More to come as I share my discoveries in this cute city!
